"Champion" Bravo to set the Stage on fire at Mysuru College Tomorrow

Bengaluru: Come Friday, Dwayne John Bravo will be at Jayciana, an annual cultural festival organized by Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE). The explosive West Indies all-rounder, who has more than an ear for music, will be on stage for about 45 minutes.

Excited about his maiden visit to the Royal City, Bravo, who was part of the World T20 title-winning team, said: "Mysuru is a beautiful city and this is my first live performance. So it makes it even more special. I love India and all my fans here. If time permits, I might be sightseeing a little too."

"The 32-year-old, who plays for Gujarat Lions in the ongoing Indian Premier League, has been a singer and music lover right through his childhood. Hailing from Trinidad and Tobago, which boasts of a huge Indian community, Bravo has a strong Indian connect and even made a special appearance in Tamil movie Ula for which he sang a song.Talking about the performance, Bravo said: "I will be singing Champion and Chalo Chalo, and then of course there's going to be a lot of interaction with young fans at the university."The Champion song, which debuted earlier this year, has become a rage across the country.

Chris Gayle to miss next two IPL Matches for Birth of First Child

West Indies Cricketer Chris Gayle will miss the next two matches for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League after flying back to Jamaica for the birth of his first child.

Confirming the news on his Instagram page, Gayle wrote: "I'm on my way, Baby."

He will miss RCB's matches against Mumbai Indians in Mumbai on April 20 and against Rising Pune Supergiants on April 22.

He is expected to join RCB on April 25.

Ranveer Singh and Bravo have a ‘Malhari’ Moment

West Indies cricketer Dwayne Bravo is a social media hit these days owing to his song 'Champion' that went viral. People have not only loved the track but also enjoyed the quirky moves. Even Ranveer Singh has found signature step irresistible. And as luck would have it, the actor bumped into the sportsman at the rehearsals of a cricket league's opening ceremony.

When Ranveer spotted Bravo entering the venue, he rushed towards him and the two hugged each other. The cricketer even stayed back to watch the actor rehearse. Later, Ranveer dragged him to shake a leg on the songs of his earlier films, 'Bajirao Mastani' and 'Dil Dhadakne Do.' When we asked Bravo about the star, he said, "He is a phenomenal dancer. There is so much raw energy in him. We had a great time doing the Champion dance and also grooving to some Bollywood songs." When we asked him how much did he know about Bollywood, he was surprisingly up to date. "I have heard a lot about 'Piku' and 'Bajirao Mastani' so I will try and watch them soon," he added. Now that he has the company of a hard core film buff, Bravo will be watching a lot of Hindi films this weekend. Are we right?
